The following races will be pointed in the 2013 Steamboat Springs Running Series: 

• Hayden Cog (5K, 8M)
• Spirit Challenge (5K, 10K)
• Steamboat Marathon (Half, Full)
• Howelsen Hill (8M)
• Mountain Madness (10K, Half)
• Spring Creek (5K, 9M)
• Mt Werner Classic (50K)
• Steamboat Stinger (Half, Full)
• Continental Divide (15M)
• 10K @ 10,0000 ft (10K)
• RRR (50M)
• Emerald Mountain (12K)

Points are given out as follows:

Overall Points

• Overall male & female 1st place finishers receive 10 points
• Overall male & female 2nd place finishers receive 9 points 
• Overall male & female 3rd place finishers receive 8 points
• ...and so on, until we reach zero.

PLUS...

Age group points

• First place finish = 10 points
• Second place finish = 8 points
• Third place finish = 6 points
• Fourth place finish = 4 points
• Fifth place finish = 2 points

(Age groups are 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-69.....)

Points are accumulated up through the last race.  At the final race of the series, we will award an overall champion as well as the winner of each individual male and female age group.  Our return runners are what make this series what it is and we are happy that we can thank you all for participating and supporting the SSRS.

All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to experience the thrill of running.  While we do our best to recognize all who compete, we give special recognition to every race champion.
